Background:
2015 TRIA Annual Meeting seeks either abstract and/or full paper from the academics, scholars or researchers in the broad fields of insurance, risk management and actuarial science. This conference will be held at College of Commerce, National Cheng-Chi University on December 19, 2015. This conference will be co-organized by Taiwan Risk and Insurance Association (TRIA), the Department of Risk Management and Insurance, Risk and Insurance Research Center (RIRC), Cardif Bancassurance Research Center (CBRC) and Research Center on the Sustainable Development of Insurance Industries (SDII) at National Chengchi University.

Submission and Acceptance Notice:
The submitted abstract or full paper can be written in Chinese or English. The abstract must contain no less than 500 words. Please submit your abstract or full paper via the email: 2015TRIA@nccu.edu.tw in Acrobat (.pdf) or Word (.doc) format. The deadline of submission is October 15, 2015. All submitted abstracts and/or full papers will be reviewed by the Program Committee. The paper you submitted must contain the following information in cover page:
l The title of your paper
l The topic category
l The authors’ name, title and affiliation
l The name of the presenting author
l Address, e-mail and phone number
The concurrent sessions will be held in Chinese or English. When submitting your paper, please indicate which language, Chinese or English, you wish to use when presenting your paper orally. In addition, please name the title of your e-mail as “Submission to 2015 TRIA conference” when submitting your paper to us. We will notify authors the Program Committee’s decision regarding your paper prior to or on October 30, 2015 via e-mail. The deadline for full papers is November 20, 2015.
Keynote Speaker:
Elias S. W. Shiu is Principal Financial Group Foundation Professor of Actuarial Science at the University of Iowa since 1992. He received a Ph. D. degree from the California Institute of Technology in 1975. From 1976 to 1991, he was a professor of actuarial science at the University of Manitoba and a consultant for the Great-West Life Assurance Company, Winnipeg, Canada. He is an Editor for the journal Insurance: Mathematics and Economics and was a Co-Editor for the North American Actuarial Journal. His research papers have won four Halmstad Prizes.
Publication Opportunities:
2015 TRIA Annual Meeting offers authors an opportunity to publish in NTU Management Review (TSSCI) with a special issue on Risk Management and Insurance. When submitting papers to the conference e-mail: 2015TRIA@nccu.edu.tw, please clearly indicate whether you wish to submit your paper to the special issue.
The Program Committee of conference will recommend a number of papers to be submitted to the special issue. The authors of these papers have to submit their paper to the special issue at NTU Management Review website (http://review.management.ntu.edu.tw) prior to the conference date. Please follow all the instructions and guidelines of NTU Management Review when submitting papers to the special issue. The recommendation by the Program Committee does not guarantee publication in the special issue of NTU Management Review.
The submission fee of NTU Management Review is NT$ 3,000 and will be refunded by the Conference to the authors who are recommended to submit papers to the special issue. Please bring your submission receipt and present it to our staff at the conference to get refund on the conference date.
